Dr. Look received her BA in psychology at Connecticut College. She then worked in neuropsychiatric research at Massachusetts General Hospital examining the neurobiological pathways in psychiatric disorders. Subsequently, she attended medical school at the North Caroline School of Medicine, Chapel Hill where she received awards for ability to care for others, her quiet compassion and for her scholarship and leadership.
Dr. Look returned to Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital to complete her Adult Psychiatry Residency at the MGH/McLean combined residency, both world renowned for psychiatric care and training. She did specialized training with Dr. Anne Becker in the Harvard Eating Disorders Program and was the eating disorders specialist at Harvard University Health Services. More recently Dr. Look has completed a year-long training in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy through The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy in Cambridge, MA. She has also completed the advanced training for the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Look ran the women's health division of the department of psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco before moving to Sonoma County with her family. Since then, Dr. Look has worked at New Dawn Eating disorders program and has sat on the Eating Disorders Recovery Services board, representing the north bay. In addition, she has worked at the West County Health Clinics serving all varieties of psychiatric needs to Sonoma County residents. She is currently in private practice in Santa Rosa, California.
